National [Re]Building Day & Month
On April 30th, 2022, National Rebuilding Day will focus on projects in Edgemont, Miami Chapel, and Madden Hills neighborhoods. We will be assisting selected homeowners with repairs and modifications in these neighborhoods. We will also be completing a community-wide clean-up and community projects within the three targeted neighborhoods.
Interested in organizing a group to participate in NRD, please reach out to Caroline, Seasonal Safe @ Home Director at Caroline@rtdayton.org, and Taylor, AmeriCorps Project Coordinator at Taylor@rtdayton.org.
Each year on the last Saturday in April, National Rebuilding Day unites volunteers from all walks of life to rehab homes and community facilities and revitalize Dayton communities. Our staff supports nearly 1,000 volunteers in rehabilitating approximately 15-20 homes and multiple community areas.
Every project that we undertake is unique. Each work site comes with a different history, unique needs, its own scope of work, and a dedicated volunteer team. Once deployed, we complete everything from yard cleanup and painting to skilled plumbing, window, electrical systems, and flooring repairs.
We celebrate [Re]Building thoughout April with volunteer projects throughout the month.
As we work to revitalize Dayton communities, we also work hard to provide a positive volunteer experience for our sponsors, volunteers, and community partners.
What are the results of year-long planning, evaluating, training, and organizing?
A lasting impression and life-changing experience for our volunteers and the families and individuals we serve.
